Well, for those of you that watched the last episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will no doubt have noticed several things that have seemingly had some deeply rooted impact on not only the fanbase, but the fanon of the series.

Of most notable interest is the episode flashback that chronicles the founding pioneers of Ponyville. Most notable of them, being Granny Smith, which in the flashback took the cake for most adorable filly... which is a huge feat considering the Cutie Mark Crusaders have all but cornered the market on that one.

The episode, managed to not only establish Granny Smith as one of the most important ponies in the whole town, but managed to simultaneously drive a massive rail-road spike right into the brain-pan of most of the fan's fiction over the past year and a half.


I can't say that it comes as much of a surprise, but considering the near "Retroactive Continuity" of the episode, I'm sure it has some of the fans squirming in their editorials.

I guess we'll have to wait and see which stories this episode has single-handedly destroyed, and which ones the writers are scrambling to Retcon themselves.

It also didn't take the Fan-Artists long to jump on the "Annie" Smith bandwagon either... oh yeah, that's the Fan nickname for Granny Smith as a young filly.
